Dead Lantern Pictures (deadlantern.com), a local Lincoln horror production company and creators of “Outpost Doom” and “The Grand Horror”, announces a casting call for our next film: “Isabelle”.

“Isabelle” is a supernatural horror slasher that tells the story of Isabelle Wakeworth, a young woman who had her eyes carved out by her father and who is reanimated to take revenge on her family. The film works to subvert traditional slasher conventions and archetypes while still maintaining the slasher tradition with oodles of crazy death sequences. The film will be shot using Canon 7D cameras and will be filmed on the weekends throughout the year. We can work around any schedule.

Here are the roles being cast:
Isabelle Wakeworth
Lead Villain / Caucasian / 20 – 29 years. In flashbacks we see her as a kind, warm soul. When her father carves out her eyes, she goes insane and murders thirteen people. 55 years later, a mysterious darkness that is enveloping the earth will resuscitate her to continue her murderous ways.
Kris
Lead Female / Caucasian / 20 – 29 years. A quiet, reserved girl who engages the world at a distance via her one true love: photography. She has unresolved issues with her dead mother and must confront the torment she experienced as a child growing up in the small town of Hollowbrook . Nudity Required.
Velda
Supporting Female / Caucasian / 20 – 29 years. Kris’s best friend. Velda is very outgoing and strong willed, she doesn’t take shit from anyone and has a goofy fun personality. Her main interest is in classical theater and is looking forward to her lead performance in Medea. Minor Nudity Required.
Crazy Louie
Supporting Male / Caucasian / 60-85 years. The old man in town who warns the characters that death is coming….
Jill
Supporting Female / Caucasian / 20 – 25 years. An old high school acquaintance of Kris. Is now a divorced single mother living in a small town with no prospects of escape.
Mark
Supporting Male / Caucasian / 20-29 years. A small town lifer who happens to be a total hillbilly hick asshole. He sees Kris as nothing more than someone to denigrate and will try his best to scare her out of town.
Eliot
Supporting Male / Caucasian / 20-29 years. Mark’s bumbling idiot of a best friend. Follows Mark’s every order for fear that Mark will beat him up.
Jessie
Supporting Male / All Ethnicities / 20 – 29 years. A reluctant buddy of Mark and Eliot who is dragged along for the ride when Mark decides to dig up Isabelle’s grave.
Declan Wakeworth
Supporting Male / Caucasian / 35-50 years. Isabelle’s father and mayor of Hollowbrook circa 1950. He puts on a happy face to the public but behind closed doors he is actually a brutal murderer that carves out his own daughter’s eyes.
Woman in the Woods
Minor Female / All Ethnicities / 20 – 29 years. A young woman that Declan takes into the woods and murders violently. Nudity Required.
